Ice sculptures, hot chocolate and activities galore, oh my! Ottawa’s biggest celebration of winter is back once again with this year’s iteration of the beloved Winterlude festival. Take a romantic skate along the Rideau Canal, play in the Ice-Cade to try your chance at classic carnival games, stop by the Ottawa Farmer’s Winter Market at Lansdowne Park, and much more. With free shuttle bus service between major festival sites and a wide range of food, beverage and entertainment options, it’s a veritable winter wonderland that you won’t want to miss. With most of the events happening in the downtown core, it’s relatively easy to find your way there via OC Transpo from Valecraft communities such as Aviation Private and Deerfield Village.
