Embrun is a beautiful, charming, historical town with a rich heritage and all the charm of a small town, while still enjoying the amenities of a larger city – in short, you get the best of both worlds. Located just east of Ottawa, it’s a lovely town that boasts many amenities including schools, shopping areas, and sports clubs. The area is also home to many of the Nation’s Capital’s agricultural resources and farming communities, which provide fresh, locally-produced foods.
With plenty of public and Catholic schools nearby, moving here with your kids is a breeze. You’ll also find the famously fun Calypso Water Park, Embrun Community Centre and Arena, and everything from hardware stores and pharmacies, to spacious parks and walking trails.
You can easily get to Embrun (just South of the Trans-Canada Highway), giving you easy road access to Ottawa, Montreal, and everywhere in-between. It’s a lovely drive through the agricultural heart of the region before arriving at the riverside community of Embrun.
Small-town living doesn’t mean boring meals – if anything, it makes for a more vibrant experience, infused with local produce and specialties! With so many places to treat the family, a loved one, or just yourself to a great meal, you’ll find it hard to choose.
Looking to stock up on M&M meats, local baked goods, or the latest in entertainment tech? Believe it or not, you can find it all here in Embrun, making a drive to the city – while relatively short – unnecessary most of the time.
